YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan issued a message of congratulations to the Yezidi community of Armenia, and on the occasion of Malake Taus, the Yezidi New Year.

“The sincere friendship between the Armenian and Yezidi peoples has for a long time passed the test of the joint fight against general disasters, and it has also strengthened with peaceful, creative work and overall achievements.

“The past year was difficult for numerous Yezidis living in the Middle East, and the ordeals are still ongoing. Rest assured that we[, Armenians,] stand with you in this complex situation, and you can expect our further support,” the President’s message specifically reads.
