Armenia’s Ambassador to Iran, Artashes Tumanyan, on Wednesday met with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia, Pacific and CIS Affairs, Ibrahim Rahimpour.   

The interlocutors discussed bilateral relations, and exchanged views on economic ties and future projects.   

Tumanyan and Rahimpour also underscored the need to invigorate cooperation between the private sectors of the economies of the two countries. 

In addition, the Armenian ambassador and the Iranian deputy FM conferred on the current developments with respect to Iran’s nuclear program. In this connection, Rahimpour stated that the lifting of international sanctions against Iran will contribute to the implementation of joint economic programs.
