YEREVAN. - Armenian and international stars have filmed a video on Armenian Genocide. The premiere of the video “Millions of Lives” took place on Saturday.

In the video, an Armenian grandfather tells his grand granddaughter about the Armenian Genocide, recalling the history of his family.

The benefactor Hrair Hovnanian features the grandfather, his mother’s eyes appearing on the screen during the whole shot. 

The video was filmed in the framework of a project bearing the same name.  The project director, singer and composer Tigran Petrosyan said that the video aims to raise the world’s awareness on the Armenian Genocide recognition question and Armenian people’s demand for justice. According to him, the project once again came to prove that the Armenian nation is not alone in its struggle for the acknowledgement of the Armenian Genocide.

The video’s premiere was attended by the First Lady of Armenia Rita Sargsyan and Culture Minister Hasmik Poghosyan.

The lyrics of the video “Millions of Lives,” which tell about the Armenian Genocide, were written by the poetess Rita Mae, the music being written by the composer and producer Karen Margaryan. The directors of the video are Mihran Stepanyan, Hayk Atomts, Oleg Movchan, Natalia Ivanova and Oleg Taravkov.

The video stars a number of world famous cultural figures, including Charles Aznavour, Jivan Gasparyan, Armen Jigarkhanyan, Alain Terzian, Montserrat Caballe, Sebu Simonian, Patrick Fiori, CoCo York, Mariam Mirabova, Andrey Davidyan, Arthur Abraham, Tigran Petrosyan and others.
