Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc made a rather interesting statement in connection with the Armenian Genocide.

Arinc said that every year on April 24, the Armenian diaspora thinks that genocide had occurred, whereas Turkey believes that there was no such black chapter in its history, reported Haberekspres website of Turkey.

“We [i.e. the Turks] have not knowingly and deliberately committed genocide; those who committed genocide are known to the world,” Bulent Arinc stated, and added: “According to the UN, 1915 is not considered to be genocide.”
