YEREVAN. – The Prosperous Armenia Party, which until recently was considered the second strongest political force in the Republic of Armenia (RA), visited on Friday, April 24—that is, on the day of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide—, the Genocide Memorial on Tsitsernakaberd Hill in capital city of Yerevan with a very small group, Hraparak daily reported.

“And in the afternoon, [opposition party] Heritage’s leader [and former FM] Raffi Hovannisian was at Tsitsernakaberd with a small entourage, whereupon the radical [opposition party] ANC [i.e. the Armenian National Congress], [was at the memorial] led by Founding Chairman [and First President] Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

“[But] despite the sound of the 100th anniversary, this year the RA bureaucrats and politicians were avoiding contact with the media explaining the rainy and cold weather,” Hraparak wrote.
