Journalist Duygu Guvenc of Turkey’s Cumhuriyet daily harshly criticized the Turkish authorities’ steps toward impeding the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

“Turkey suffered big losses by celebrating on April 24, as a response to Armenians, the 100th anniversary of [the Battle of] Gallipoli.

“The Vatican, Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, Chile, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and Syria are the countries that said ‘genocide’ in 2015.
