YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will allocate €434,000 to co-finance the modernization of the country’s Bagratashen checkpoint on the border with Georgia.

The respective decision was adopted at Thursday’s Cabinet session.

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Vakhtang Mirumyan, recalled that the Bavra and Gogavan border checkpoints likewise are being modernized along the lines of this program.

The project is implemented with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union.

The project was launched in 2013 and will end on May 31 of the current year.
