YEREVAN. - Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan will leave for the United States next week, Eduard Sharmazanov, Parliament Vice President and RPA press–secretary, told Armenian News – NEWS.am after RPA Supreme authority session on Thursday. 

He said that after his visit to the United States, the President will take part in EEU council session, and on May 9 will attend the celebrations on 70th anniversary of WWII Victory in Moscow. 

Responding to the question on what meetings Sargsyan will have in the United States, Sahrmazanov said that the President’s Press Office will disseminate a message on it.

As to RPA Supreme authority session held today, RPA press-secretary said that the Armenian Genocide Centennial commemoration events, including the works carried out in the Global Forum held in Yerevan on April 22-23, were discussed.

“We do not exclude that similar forums will regularly be organized in Armenia. Besides, internal politics and interparty question have also been discussed,” he said.  

According to Sharmazanov, Constitutional reforms have also been touched upon.
