YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliament has ratified the draft loan agreement on extending operations of the Armenian nuclear power plant that has been reached with Russia.
The agreement signed in February suggests that the Russian side will provide $270 million as a loan and a grant of $30 million to extend operations of the Armenian NPP. The operation of the existing energy unit will be prolonged till 2026.
Russia will provide a loan of $270 million to extend operation of Armenian NPP. The repair works will start in 2017 and will help in extending the operation of nuclear power plant till 2026.
