YEREVAN. – This year’s exhibition-fair of Indian products is held in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan at state level for the first time.

Navek Ali Khan, who is director of the Little India company which is the organizer of this event, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that, in this year’s expo, the Indian producers and manufacturers are personally introducing their products.

In his words, the Armenian visitors are happy with the quality of the products on display. Khan added that primarily handicrafts are featured at the event.

Even though the Indian-made tablet computers and mobile phones are a novelty in this year’s exhibition-fair, they are not for sale. The Indian manufacturers are seeking new markets and partners in Armenia.

The two countries have an agreement that the mutual visits of Armenian and Indian businessmen will be on an annual basis.

The Indian exhibition-fair in Yerevan is accompanied by songs and dances by youth wearing Indian national costumes.

To note, Armenia’s Gyumri city and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic will host the Indian expo for the first time.

The exhibition-fair in Yerevan will be open until Sunday.
