Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Abkhazia, and South Ossetia as well as the citizens of Georgia and Ukraine.

Putin extended his congratulations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory achieved in the Great Patriotic War, informed the Kremlin press service.

The Russian President’s congratulatory message noted that the Great Victory was the shared and priceless accomplishment of the nations, and today is our duty to sacredly preserve the memory of the heroes that have fallen in battles, and not to allow the recurrence of the tragic events of the past.
