An exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War opened Monday in the Museum of Southern Military District (SMD) in Armenia’s Gyumri city military post, located on the territory of the Big Fortress community.
The event is held within the framework of the International Museum Day, SMD Press Service reports. The exhibition was attended by over 1,5 thousand Russian soldiers and guests, among them veterans, representatives of diplomatic corps and Border Management of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSS) in Armenia, as well as locals.
Video materials, photos, painting by frontline artists, engravings and posters were presented during the exhibition. The soldiers and sergeants of the Russian union showed the guests the military uniform of the times of the Great Patriotic War.
