Armenia has a new ambassador to Germany.

President Serzh Sargsyan, guided by the Constitution of Armenia, has decided to appoint Ashot Smbatyan Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Germany.

Smbatyan’s diplomatic seat will be in the German capital city of Berlin.

Prior to this designation, Ashot Smbatyan was holding the position of Chargé d’affaires of Armenia to Germany.
