YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Economy Minister Karen Chshmaritian had a meeting with Argentina’s Ambassador Gonzalo Urriolabeitia.  

According to the Economy Ministry press service, during the meeting the Minister briefed the Ambassador on the investment environment in Armenia, stressing the preferences of the Republic. He noted that Armenia has a great innovation and human potential; the country operates two free economic zones, which include the sphere of high and innovative technologies, processing industry, jewellery and watchmaking. 

In light of the big potential existing between the two countries, the Minister expressed readiness to deepen and expand the bilateral relations.  

Argentina’s Ambassador noted the presence of good relations between the countries. During the meeting the officials discussed the new opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and Argentina, as well as implementation of international programs. The entrepreneur Eduardo Eurnekian was mentioned as a successful example.

It was proposed to discuss the perspectives of cooperation in the sphere of tourism and organize reference visits.

Armenia’s membership to EEU and Armenian-EU cooperation were also among the questions discussed.
