YEREVAN. - The final version of the purchase agreement on the sale of Vorotan Cascade of HPP has been submitted for the signature of the U.S. company Contour Global, Armenia’s Energy Minister Yervand Zakharyan stated at the Parliament Wednesday.

After long discussions between the government and the purchasing company, all the obstacles were removed and the final version of the agreement was submitted to the American side. “As far as we know, the question will be resolved in the coming days, and the company representatives will arrive in Armenia from the United States to sign the contract,” the minister said.

He also said that the privatization will expand to the shares of the cascade of HPP, and not to the shareholders’ capital of state companies managing them. The minister didn’t specify how this may impact the share nominal.
