YEREVAN. - Till April 2016, Armenia’s Healthcare Ministry will introduce a single electronic database into the medical institutions of the Republic, Healthcare Minister Armen Muradyan said at the Parliament Wednesday.

He said that according to the results of the analysis by a South Korean consultant company, a state program on the healthcare system computerization was drawn up in 2012, an implementation council headed by the deputy minister being set up in 2013.    

The work is implemented by Ericsson Company. The entire cost of the project is nearly $1 million. The pilot project of the new system is already operating in 4 medical institutions - those in Balahovit village and Abovyan city of Kotayk region, as well as in Yerevan’s Muratsan Medical Center and Heratsi Polyclinic.

Till April 2016, the work will be fully completed, the minister said.
