The UNESCO Headquarters in Paris was the venue, from Monday to Wednesday, for a meeting of the member states of the 1970 UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property.

Along the lines of this meeting, elections were held Wednesday for members of the Intergovernmental Committee of this convention.

As a result of voting, Armenia became a member of this committee for a four-year term.
