A single market for the venture capital markets is indispensible for the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board member—Minister—Karine Minasyan stated the aforesaid at the VIII Economic Forum held in the Kazakh capital city of Astana.

Small and medium-sized businesses in the EEU countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) are located in the most risky areas of the market, and naturally, they need risk financing sources, reported the EEC press service.

“It is possible to build a risk financing single market in the EEU area, providing the small and medium-sized businesses broader access toward financial resources,” Minasyan noted. “This will be the first practical step on the road to the integration of financial markets, [and] with minimal risks for the regulators.”
