YEREVAN. - In 2015 Armenia is expected to have wonderful vintage, Armenia’s Agriculture Deputy Minister Samvel Galstyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am on Friday.
It’s early to make predictions, but nevertheless the gross product of the fruit will exceed that of the last year, he said.
Specifically, if in 2014, 80 per cent of the apricot harvest failed because of the hail, this year a very good harvest is expected here as well.
“In certain villages of Armavir province I saw the future harvest which was the type I hadn’t seen for 40 years,” Galstyan said.
According to him, aside from the recent hail in certain regions of Armenia, fruit gardens escaped causalities and promise wonderful harvest.
