STEPANAKERT. – The President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Monday chaired a meeting of the NKR Security Council.

The harvest and the measures for fighting fire hazards in the fire season were on the agenda of the talk, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

The NKR Minister of Agriculture, director of the State Service of Emergency Situations, director of the Countryside and Agriculture Assistance Fund, and heads of regional administrations made respective reports and delivered remarks.

Sahakyan instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to set up an emergency response center, led by Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, before June 1, to effectively organize this year’s harvest in Artsakh.
