YEREVAN. - Armenia is ready to deepen talks with friendly Iran in the context of joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Armenian Deputy FM Garen Nazarian stated at the Parliament Wednesday.
“Why not? If our accession to the EEU is also attractive for Iran, then different ways of cooperation on that matter can be discussed,” Nazarian said.
Earlier, at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Moscow on May 8, Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan spoke of the necessity of expanding the cooperation of EEU with Iran, paying attention to the infrastructure projects, linking the EEU with the Southeast Asia and Persian Gulf.
