YEREVAN. – Increase in electricity price is not favorable for anyone and dealing with it is an unpleasant thing, Energy Minister Edward Zakharyan told reporters on Thursday.

“There are situations requiring certain moves. There are some issues requiring solution, and one of them is electricity price rise. I understand concerns of the demonstrators, it is a social problem that worries our citizens,” he said.

The Minister said public services regulatory commission is carrying out research and will publish findings in a week.

“I do not think that electricity price will rise by 17 drams. The rest will be declared by the commission,” he added.
