Georgia’s former President Mikheil Saakashvili has received Ukrainian citizenship, informed several Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council; parliament) MPs.

“Mikheil Saakashvili officially became a citizen of Ukraine,” wrote Mustafa Nayyem, member of Rada

for Petro Poroshenko Bloc, in his Facebook account.

“Former Georgian President #Saakashvili successfully got Ukrainian citizenship on Friday. Micho, we want new Batumi there!” tweeted Serhiy Leshchenko, another MP of the aforesaid bloc.
