YEREVAN. – Serviceman Mher, who was injured as a result of a military truck—carrying soldiers—falling into a canyon in Armenia’s Lori Province on April 17, underwent another surgery.

Director of the Armenian Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, Aram Asaturyan, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As per Asaturyan, this time the soldier underwent a collarbone surgery, he is in stable condition, but he will no longer be operated on, and once he recovers, he will be discharged from hospital.

The other military serviceman, Martiros, however, still has two surgeries ahead.

Aram Asaturyan said the other soldiers, who have recovered from their injuries, are continuing their military service.

As reported earlier, the aforesaid military truck had rolled over at the Spitak city bends and fallen into a canyon. The driver of the truck, conscript Artyom Tovmasyan (born in 1995), had died as a result of the injuries he had sustained in the accident. Nine other soldiers were injured in the incident, and they have been transported from the Spitak hospital to the Armenian Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in capital city Yerevan.

A criminal case was opened in connection with this accident.
