The first meeting of the francophone ministers of higher education with the participation of the delegations from 44 countries has kicked off in Paris.

The Ministers have gathered to discuss prospects for the development of digital universities. 

In his speech, Armenian's Education Minister Armen Ashotuan underscored importance of the activities of the Organization of La Francophonie. He noted that the development of digital technologies is creating new opportunities for modern and high quality higher education making it more accessible to the young people. 

Minister Ashotyan is expected to meet with his French counterpart Najat Vallaud-Belkacem on the margins of the meeting.
