YEREVAN. – The US Ambassador to Armenia, Richard Mills, on Friday reflected on the recent sale of Armenia’s Vorotan Hydro Cascade to an American company, reported Zhamanak daily.

“He, speaking to Zhamanak, said despite the assurances by the Armenian side—and especially the government—that the purchase and sale agreement of the Vorotan Hydro Cascade is already signed, the final deal is not made yet, since the necessary documents are not yet signed.

“The ambassador made a vivid expression to be more comprehensible: ‘The keys to Vorotan are not yet handed over to the American side.’

“And can it be that these keys are not in the hands of the Armenian side?” wrote Zhamanak.
