STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Bako Sahakyan was present at the first Mulberry Festival held in the vicinities of the Amaras monastery.

Addressing the participants, President Sahakyan noted importance of holding such events underlining that mulberry tree was among the symbols of Artsakh. The President expressed hope that mulberry festivals would become traditional.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghulyan, other officials, guests from Armenia and abroad participated in the event.
