The Caucasus Muslims Department condemned immoral conduct of Azerbaijani cleric Asker Babayev.
He was caught in intimate ties with an underage girl in a local mosque. Thereafter, the video was spread in Facebook. Babayev claimed for a chairmanship in the community, but the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations considered his nomination unacceptable.
The Caucasus Muslims Department considers his immoral conduct to be “a sin” and stated that law-enforcers should take necessary measures if the fact is confirmed.
