YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received information on Wednesday at 8:05am.

Accordingly, a traffic accident had occurred on the Ashtarak-Gyumri motorway, there were affected, and rescuers were needed.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that a truck—with driver E. M., 26—and a car—with driver Galust Verdoyan, 27—had crashed on the aforesaid highway.

As a result, the car had turned upside-down, whereas the truck—which was loaded with stones—had tilted.

Verdoyan had died on the spot, whereas the truck driver and the passenger, D. H., 24, had sustained injuries and were hospitalized at the Ashtarak city medical center. Doctors say they are in satisfactory condition.

Galust Verdoyan was a Military Police officer, reported Shamshyan.com. His parents likewise had died in a traffic accident on February 17, at the Aruch village intersection in the Aragatsotn Province.
