YEREVAN. – The belief in a better tomorrow has increased to some extent among the residents of Armenia, and between March and May of the current year.

The above-said is proved by the results of a survey conducted by the Gallup International Association Armenia Office.

The survey was conducted in capital city Yerevan and in the provinces, from May 5 to 13, and through private conversations with 1,105 respondents.

Nonetheless, the respective optimism has not yet risen to the level in November 2014.

At that time, and to the question on whether, in their view, they—or their family—will live better one year later than now, the 35 percent of the respondents had answered “slightly better,” and 4 percent had replied “considerably better.”

This March, however—and after the sharp devaluation of the Armenian national currency, and a reduction in remittances from Russia—, these figures made up a mere 15 and 2 percent, respectively.

But in May of the current year, these indicators were 22 and 2 percent, in that order.
