YEREVAN. – Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan urges Azerbaijani authorities to avoid military rhetoric.

Speaking to reporters , the Minister said the adversary should avoid making speculations. Instead of making constructive moves, they are trying “to leave no stone in Armenia”, he said referring to the recent statements made by Azerbaijani leadership.

By raising tension at the line of contact, the Azerbaijani side is trying to create favorable conditions for themselves, he said.

The Minister is confident that the conflicting parties can achieve dialogue and mutual understanding exclusively under the condition of confidence building measures and creation of new mechanisms.

“We do not have to use force, but to create an atmosphere of trust,” Ohanyan added.
