Armenian Ambassador Arshak Poladyan on Sunday met with the Minister of Culture of Syria, Issam Khalil.

The interlocutors conferred on the avenues for promoting bilateral cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Khalil, considering the great cultural potential of Armenia, underscored the chance for Armenian musicians working with the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, and teaching courses at the Damascus Conservatory.

At the same time, the parties highlighted cultural exchange days. In this connection, the minister proposed the holding of Days of Culture of Armenia in Syria.

They also discussed the matter of Syria’s attendance to the Literary Ark 2015 international conference, which Armenia will host in September. In this regard, Ambassador Poladyan handed to the Syrian minister the respective invitation by Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan.

At the end of the talk, Issam Khalil briefed Arshak Poladyan on the details of his recent visit to Armenia.
