Maintenance of long-term stability in the South Caucasus is one of the Turkey’s foreign-policy priorities, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on the threshold of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Anadolu news agency reported.

According to Gul, Turkey is attentively following the regional processes and is actively participating in the establishment of lasting peace. These issues will be on the agenda of his official meetings in Baku as well, President added.

The Turkish President will arrive in Baku on Monday, accompanied by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz.
