YEREVAN. - “Stand up, Armenia” initiative members today staged a 3-minute sit-in in the traffic area close to the Government building  in Yerevan’s Tigran Mets street. This, however, didn’t block the traffic. The policemen surrounded the activists, who left the traffic area of the street in a few minutes.

At the moment “Stand up, Armenia” initiative member Davit Sanasaryan and several activists are continuously walking across the streets close to the Republic Square, Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent reports. Sanasaryan attempted to move to the central part of the square several times but the police prevented him from doing this.

The initiative had earlier announced that they were starting a 72-hour sit-in since Monday. Today the police didn’t allow them to approach the central part of the square. The activists held civil disobedience actions in the square during all the day.
