YEREVAN. – In January-June 2015 the dynamics of excise goods has grown substantially, says the message issued by the Ministry of Finance of Armenia.

“As compared with the first half of 2014 customs revenues have increased, and that excluding such goods of the Customs Union as gasoline, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products,” head of the warehouse of excise goods Suren Ghazaryan said.

According to him, the process of export and import of excise goods has become much easier since 2015 after Armenia joined the Eurasian Economic Union.

“Excise stamps of the Eurasian Union are neither controlled, nor recorded by the customs authorities of Armenia. Just due to the lack of a common land border with the countries of the Eurasian Union, applicants from Armenia should have atransit declaration and have to check the presence of commodities from the Eurasian Union so that they could avoid customs procedures,” he added.
