YEREVAN. – Member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Tigran Arakelyan was arrested on Thursday on extortion charges.
According to the Armenian Criminal Code, the crime is punished with correctional labor for the term of up to 2 years, or with arrest for the term of up to 3 months, or with imprisonment for the term of up to 4 years and a fine for the amount of up to 50 minimal salaries or without that.
