STEPANAKERT. - The nervous morbid reaction of Azerbaijan to the events of real life excites pity, Davit Babayan, spokesman for the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President told Armenian News – NEWS.am, commenting on the Azerbaijani MFA’s indignation over the story on the life in NKR filmed by the German Deutsche Welle TV and Radio Company.

“This is another expression not of a reaction to events, but morbid perception of reality. The process of the international integration of the Nagorno-Karabakh is unavoidable, and it is underway,” Babayan said.

He also said that the film crew of Deutsche Welle had arrived in Karabakh on their own accord.  “They arrived, since it’s interesting for them to present the life in Karabakh in its true colors. And regardless of Azerbaijan’s threats, no matter what notes and SMS they send, it will not manage to distort the truth. It’s clear to everyone that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is a viable state, which hasn’t yet been recognized in light of geopolitical issues. We don’t care about the nervous reaction of Azerbaijan. The important thing is that the truth has reached the international community,” Babayan said.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani MFA was so offended by the story of Deutsche Welle that it decided to file a note of protest.
