Glendale City Council members Vartan Gharpetian and Paula Devine, who have arrived from this US city to Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan on the occasion of the 6th Pan-Armenian Games, met with Yerevan Council’s ruling Republican Party of Armenia Faction Head Sergey Mkrtchyan, and faction member Naira Nahapetyan. 

First, Mkrtchyan and Nahapetyan briefed the guests on the governance model, priorities, and programs of Yerevan. 

Gharpetian, for his part, spoke about the governance model and strategy of Glendale, California. He also listed this US city’s educational and cultural events aimed at preservation of the Armenian identity.

Nahapetyan, in turn, thanked for the attention toward the Glendale Armenian community, and the ongoing projects.

The parties also expressed readiness to make Yerevan-Glendale collaboration more tangible, and outlined several areas of cooperation.
