YEREVAN. - Father of late maternity patient Meri Margaryan, 26, will act as the victim’s legal successor, Meri’s brother, Martin Margaryan, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.
As reported earlier, criminal case was opened on August 3. The Investigative Committee of Armenia issued a statement, in which it pointed out to the malpractice of Doctor Shushanik Baghdasaryan.
Relatives of late Meri Margaryan blame “Shengavit” medical centre doctor Shushanik Bakhshyan for the tragedy. According to the brother of the dead woman, Meri had been running high temperature for several days, but the doctor was calming her down, advising to take paracetamol. The woman was hospitalized at the insistence of her relatives, but she felt worse in the hospital. Then it was decided to move her to the multi-specialized “Erebouni” medical centre, where Meri had Caesarean section, 2 days after which she died. The following day her newborn daughter passed away as well.
