The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Friday announced that early parliamentary elections will be held in the country on November 1.
In addition, Erdogan stated that a provisional government will be formed, and it will govern Turkey until the aforesaid snap elections.
Early next week, the Turkish president will ask Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to set up a provisional government, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
Turkey’s majority Justice and Development Party (AKP) failed to form a coalition government after the regular parliamentary voting on June 7, and therefore the PM on Tuesday returned the mandate to form a government back to the President.
