French TV channel France 3 will show a documentary titled “Armenian spring” on August 31 at 23:25 local time, the TV channel website reports.

The film will also be shown on September 11.

“100 years have passed since the beginning of the Armenian Genocide, which claimed over million lives and resulted in the expulsion of hundreds and thousands. Turkey officially denies the slaughter; even the presence of Armenians has been almost erased in that country. French Armenian Varoujan Artin made his first steps on the land of his ancestors and found out that many survivors of the slaughter have never actually left Turkey. Thousands of them lived concealing [their identity] or were kidnapped. Their successors are today discovering their history: one can hear the voices of Muslims, who are standing up for their identity, which was denied throughout a decade,” the advanced advertisement of the documentary reads.
