STEPANAKERT. – The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 950 times, from August 23 to 39.

During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 17,500 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mine throwers and grenade launchers, reported the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

In addition to mine throwers, Azerbaijani side used 107mm rocket launchers.

The adversary launched another reconnaissance and diversion infiltration attempt on Friday in an easterly direction of the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces. The advancement by the Azerbaijani special military forces comprising 20-25 soldiers, and drove them back their starting positions while causing them casualties.

The Karabakh Defense Army units confidently carry out their military task along the entire line of contact.
