STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 120 times, on Monday and early Tuesday morning.
During this time, Azerbaijan fired more than 1,200 shots in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle and artillery weapons, including 230 shots from mine throwers and grenade launchers, and one shot from a rocket-propelled howitzer.
As a result of retaliatory actions taken by vanguard units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army, however, the “activeness” by the adversary was quelled, informed the press service of the NKR Ministry of Defense.
