Azerbaijan has decided that Armenian should be taught in its country.

A textbook “The Armenian Language” has been published, Turan reports. The author of the textbook is Khatam Jabbarli, Doctor of Science, the editors being Israfil Mammadov, Ph.D., Sarlan Hasanov, Doctor of Philology, as well as Sohbet  Mammadov and Tahira  Jabbarly.   

The textbook is intended for wide readership and consist of four sections: phonetics, morphology, syntax and collocations.

This is the first textbook in Armenian, which has been published in the period of Azerbaijan’s independence.
