YEREVAN. - The issue on appointing MP Arpine Hovhannisyan as the country’s Justice Minister was discussed at the Supreme body session of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA),  Parliament Vice President and Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov said after the session today.

According to him, the President has consulted with the members of the RPA Supreme body and will make a corresponding decision.

“I can say that the professional activity of Arpine Hovhannisyan is generally highly appreciated by the RPA Supreme Body. Today we only discussed the issue of Arpine Hovhannisyan’s candidacy. We didn’t speak about any other candidates,” Sharmazanov said.

The office of the Minister of Justice has been vacant since ex-Minister of Justice Hovhannes Manukyan filed his resignation on July 14.
