YEREVAN. – About one month ago, two Patagonian maras and two African meerkats were transferred to the Yerevan Zoo, in Armenia’s capital city, from the Dutch capital city of Amsterdam.

These exotic animals were able to surmount the quarantine period, and now, they are the new “residents” of Yerevan Zoo.

These animals do not have names yet, and they are distinguished by the help of the microchips that are inserted under their skin.

But in time, and according to tradition, the zoo staff will name these animals by following their behavior.
