YEREVAN. – The gross agricultural output in Armenia has increased by 14.4 percent between January and July.

The Minister of Agriculture, Sergo Karapetyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.

Accordingly, a 26.6- and 4.2-percent growth is recorded in crops and livestock, respectively, and this is due to an increase in Armenia’s sowing areas.

At present, more than 70 percent of the country’s agricultural land is being developed.

Overall, 331,000 hectares of land is being cultivated in Armenia.
