PACE rapporteur Robert Walter (United Kingdom, EC) will carry out a fact-finding visit to the area of the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
Rapporteur on the “Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan” will visit area of the line of contact from the side under control of the Azerbaijani authorities, on 15-16 September, PACE said in a statement.
A visit on the other side of the line of contact is foreseen in the near future.
In an earlier interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am, member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Naira Zohrabyan said rapporteur has not applied to the NKR authorities to get a permission for the visit. The Armenian said deems the report as absolutely unacceptable.
