YEREVAN. – The agenda of Armenia-European Union (EU) cooperation is full of current and prospective projects.

New Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Świtalski, noted the above-said at Wednesday’s meeting with Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

The PM, for his part, stressed that shared values are at the basis of Armenia-EU collaboration, and Armenia is determined to continually develop this cooperation. Abrahamyan noted that there is great potential to strengthen bilateral ties, and recorded the higher results of respective progress. The Premier also wished success to Ambassador Świtalski during his tenure in Armenia, and expressed the hope that the EU official will contribute to the development of this partnership.

The new head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, in turn, noted that he will do his utmost—during his term in Armenia—to make Armenia-EU ties grow deeper. Świtalski likewise stressed that the shared system of values are the cornerstone of Armenia-EU collaboration, and added the EU is interested in the further development of relations with Armenia.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for expanding Armenia-EU cooperation, and the respective future plans. In addition, Hovik Abrahamyan thanked for the EU assistance to Armenia, and stressed that the Armenian government collaborates with the EU organizations and is consistent in the implementation of the agreements that were reached.
