YEREVAN. – Several dozen delegations’ arrival in Armenia’s capital city to participate in the Ministerial Conference is an exclusive event.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated the aforementioned at Saturday’s opening session of the 31st meeting of the Ministerial Conference of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), in Yerevan.

The Armenian FM stressed that the OIF countries have joined around concepts such as peace, and human rights.

In Nalbandian’s words, Armenia, by hosting such a high-level meeting, also reaffirms the place it has kept for centuries at the crossroads of civilizations.

The FM also confirmed Armenia’s adherence to the values and objectives of La Francophonie.

He added that the 31st meeting of the OIF Ministerial Conference is an important milestone in relations.

“We [i.e. Armenia] are happy to host this forum,” concluded Edward Nalbandian. “This also enables to get our guests familiarized with the culture of Armenia.”
